What are the mechanisms that cause changes in sea level and what changes are expected?

This news report outlines some of the ways in which sea level changes:

With predicted Global Warming, sea levels are expected to rise by up to 1.5 meters by the end of this century:

In September 2008; one report stated that a rise of more than 2 metres by 2100 was highly unlikely’ however, many commentators suggested that 2 metres would be disastrous enough:

In May 2009, a new study put the predicted rise in sea level that would be caused by the collapse of the “unstable” West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) at ~3.3 metres, less that previously thought, but enough to cause catastrophe in many parts of the world.
